We have been having glorious spring weather here in the Northeast. We have had a week of warm sunshine that makes us wish Summer would just get here already! If you know someone who has had a rainy March, why not send a little sunshine their way…use a little Garnish!
We packaged our “box of sunshine” in our cardboard berry box and filled it with things that make us think of sunny days. We’ve got some flower seeds, a fresh candle, a lemon bar in our glassine bag, some pink lemonade in our 8oz bottle and, of course, some bubbles! No matter what age you are…everyone loves bubbles. What makes you think of sunny days?

p.s. This is also a great idea for a friend who needs a pick me up after a bad day

We haven’t mentioned in a while how much we love ice cream….so in case you have forgotten, we love it! Our personal fave is Ben&Jerry’s Half Baked (currently drooling thinking about it). Garnish has so many ways to serve up this frosty treat.
Why not try our wooden boat? It’s the perfect size for three scoops. So whether you want three of your favorite, or you can’t decide just on one, there will be lots of room. And if you look really close…you will see another new Garnish. We are introducing them Friday

We happen to love a smoothie for breakfast, but there isn’t always time with the morning rush to get everyone out of the house. Our suggestion, make some the night before…
then store them in our 8oz bottles, and everyone can grab one on their way out the door. The bottles are just the right size for drinking on the bus, tucking in your gym bag or for the cup holder in the car. And the best part, they are reusable! Just remember to put them on the top rack of your dishwasher.

This week we are featuring the variety of bottles that we stock here at Garnish. And make sure you check-in on Friday, because we have another brand new Garnish to share with you!
When you have some friends over for tea, or coffee, do you usually pull out the carton of milk and the gigantic sugar bowl? Why not spruce it up a bit…all it takes is a little Garnish.
Our plastic squeeze bottles are perfect for milk and sugar. We like the liquid agave sugar, but if you snip a little bit more off the nozzle of the bottle with some scissors, you could pour granulated sugar from it too. Garnish is just the thing for tea time!

Here is our second post all about bags….Garnish ones that is! We are always looking for something different to send our guests home with, and we found these pizzelles at our local grocery store. They are the perfect treat, and wouldn’t you know…fit right into our cello bags!
Set some in the large loaf pan and put out a few of our new bamboo tongs. Then all you need to do is leave out some bags and twine. Your guests can do the rest…and that’s so much easier for you. Don’t you think? The question is, how many of these will be eaten on the car ride home?

This is our final experiment with chalkboard paint, and we think it turned out great. Here we used our to go cups and coffee clutches.
You could paint up a bunch of coffee cuffs and leave them in the cupboard. When you want to leave a special message for someone, just slide one on. And being able to put your name on one of our to go cups will never leave you guessing….which one is mine? You could use some painters tape to create cool shapes for your chalkboard paint, but we choose to leave some rough edges to ours. Remember, this is only a sampling, you’re only limited by your imagination. Chalkboard paint would work great on any of our paper products…the french fry scoop, our boxes and what about the berry baskets! Have fun and create some moments!

Here is another quick and easy project to do with chalkboard paint. How about painting the lids for our no soup for you containers?
Not only is this is a great idea for labeling food at the buffet, but our containers aren’t just for food. You could store craft supplies, office supplies, contain all those hair elastics and clips. And with a label on top, you will always know what’s inside!

We are inspired by chalkboard paint this week…so we’re going to have some fun ideas to share with you. Our first idea is super easy, and very quick to do. What about adding some chalkboard paint to our wooden cutlery?
We painted two coats of chalkboard paint onto these forks. Then all you need is a little imagination, and we know our Garnish customers have lots of that! You could write some fun sayings or someone’s name. And you don’t always have to go for black…chalkboard paint comes in all kinds of fun colors now. We happened to use the Martha Stewart brand from Michael’s, but most any craft store carries chalkboard paint now. Here is a tip, if you wet the chalk a bit, it makes it a little smoother to write on the paint.
