We had a big dump of snow yesterday, again (have we mentioned that we are SO ready for winter to be over!).  But snow days mean we have time to bake some cupcakes…the perfect Valentine’s Day treat.

We used our cupcake cello bags, of course, to hold these yummies. Here’s a hint, add some fun Valentine’s Day candy to the bottom of the bag to kick this gift up a notch!  Finally, we added a cute tag and some red and white baker’s twine.  Now the problem is, how do we stop ourselves from eating the whole batch?!

30 January 2014

We would comment on how quickly January has flown by, but it’s been so cold outside, we’re happy to be that much closer to spring!  It also means that Valentine’s Day is on its way! Garnish is the perfect blank canvas for packaging up treats for your sweetheart, classmates and even something for the teacher.

We found this fun heart shape pie mold at Target.  With some ready made pie crust and some yummy cherry filling, these hand pies are perfect for gifting for Valentine’s Day.  We used our kraft treat bags which are just the right size.  We added some paper hearts and trimmed the top with some craft scissors.  How fun would these be for breakfast on February 14th, the kiddos can grab these for the bus ride to school.

16 January 2014

For this post, we were inspired by the Garnishes featured in the January/February 2014 issue of Martha Stewart Living.  We combined a couple of the looks to come up with our own gift for someone who is feeling a little under the weather.

We used our two for the road drink carrier to hold a jar of chicken noodle soup on one side, and some hearty bread on the other side.  We put the mini baguette into one of our glassine bags tied with some black and white bakers twine.  We also used the bakers twine to attach some wooden cutlery to our package.

A big thank you to Martha Stewart Living for continuing to show us how you Garnish and for always giving us some inspiration for our own projects!

What’s the perfect last minute gift?  Why a Garnish chocolate spoon for dipping (or just eating the chocolate from the spoon…let’s face facts!)

These chocolate spoons can be made ahead of time, so you can keep them on hand for the last minute gift.  We just melted some candy cane Hershey’s kisses in a bowl in the microwave, then dipped in our spoons.  Put them in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes or so when you’re done so they can harden.  Then simply put them into one of our glassine bags and tie on some twine.  They are just the thing to add to a gift card for your favorite coffee place, or for gifting with some yummy hot chocolate mix.  Ho! Ho! Ho!

6 December 2013

It’s a true Flashback Friday as we dig into the Garnish vaults today.  This idea is from 2011, but we felt it was too good not to share again.

These chocolate dipped marshmallows are just the thing to add to your hot chocolate…perfect for chilly afternoons or a cozy night by the fire.  Best part is, they’re super easy to do.  First choose some festive paper straws and stick on some marshmallows.  Next, melt some chocolate chips in the microwave.  Finally, dip your marshmallows in the chocolate then roll them in some colorful sprinkles.  Voila!

These are perfect for gifting too.  Just tie them up inside a cello bag with some twine.  You can even add a holiday mug and a package of hot chocolate.  Just the gift for the teacher, bus driver or your mail carrier.

25 November 2013

Our name is Garnish Gal, and we confess….we sometimes “fake the bake”.  That’s right…you may receive some store bought goodies from us, but we guarantee that it’s going to look pretty special!

Let’s face it, you are running in a million directions this time of year, so no need to be a superhero…it’s okay to give some store bought treats.  And when you add a little Garnish, it is always special gift.  We used our hip 2b square geometric dish and cello bag to package up these adorable gingerbread men.  We added a bit of ric rac trim, some twine and a small tag we made on the computer.  We also used our rectangular pint berry basket and glassine bags to hold some pumpkin cheesecake cookies.  We added some fun washi tape and another tag to make this treat extra special.

It’s always easy to add a little Garnish to your holidays!

22 November 2013

This year Hannukah starts at sunset on November 27th and ends nightfall on December 5th.  So whether you are celebrating Hannukah next week, Thanksgiving or Thanksgiving-kah, we’ve got the perfect thing for your guests or your host.

Who special do these mini bottles of champagne look Garnished up in our cello cupcake bags!  Like we always say, Garnish products work a whole bunch of different ways.  We found some blue and silver foil wrapped chocolates that worked with our Hannukah theme.  We tied on some pretty ribbon and added a cute tag we printed off.  Super easy and super fun.

Which ever way you are celebrating…happy holidays!

With the weather turning a little chilly, nothing warms you up quicker than tea and cookies, Garnished up, of course!

Packaged up in our contessa container, with some red and white twine and a fun label, anyone would enjoy this tasty gift.  We found these fun chalkboard labels at Target, but you can use one of our oval labels as well.  As for the cookies…well you can go homemade, or pick some up at the store (we won’t tell). One of our favorite brands is  Tate’s Bakeshop, have you heard of them?  If you live in the Northeastern United States, you just might of had some of their tasty cookies.  Our favorite are the “Chipless Wonder” cookies.  Think chocolate chip cookie without the chocolate chips (sounds crazy to leave out the chocolate, but trust us!)

4 October 2013

It’s October…and that means Halloween is on it’s way.  While figuring out what your costume is always a challenge (hoping the boy decides on something easier than last year’s “dragon robot”), handing out treats just got easier!

Introducing our Garnish Boo Kits.  Included is everything you need to make giving Halloween goodies a breeze.  Here’s what’s inside….6 medium cello bags with the label attached, 6 pre-cut pieces of black and white twine, 6 custom made boo cards with spider adornment and the instructions you need for putting it all together.

You’ve been BOO’d!
