Who doesn’t love cheesecake…especially mini cheesecakes! (we confess…we bought these)  And how cute do they look the Garnish way?

Our new 6oz disposable serving bowl is the perfect size.  We added some twine and jazzed up our wooden fork.  Now who wouldn’t want one of these…or two…they’re small, right? ;-)

It doesn’t have to be a special occasion for you to feel special.  This is a perfect example.  We normally use our coffee machine for a quickie espresso in the morning.  Well today, we thought we deserved a full on latte…and a cookie!

Our ripple cups definitely make this coffee break feel like an occasion (not to mention, it was really easy to steam some milk, so we will definitely be doing this again!).  And just to be sure we don’t overindulge too much, we decided to pack up some of those peanut butter cookies in one of our  cello bags to give to a friend.  We like to think of it as paying it forward!  It really is easy to celebrate the everyday…the Garnish way!

p.s. even though we have about 50 fancy cookbooks, you can’t beat Joy Of Cooking for the basics.  Find the peanut butter cookie recipe here.  We tried using Truvia sweetener for baking in place of the white sugar, and it worked out great!

1 May 2013

It’s May 1st ya’ll!! Can you believe it?  Spring has definitely sprung in our neck of the woods, and the sunny weather is making us think we need to lose the burgers and think about some salads.

Our new oval bowl is just the right size for a lunch on the go.  You can also purchase a lid so nothing spills out on your way to work.  Don’t forget to keep a stash of our wooden cutlery for lunch at your desk, in the park…or, let’s face it, sometimes sitting in the car (not while driving of course!) Nod your head if you are trying to catch a quick bite between baseball, soccer and tennis!  We love this new Garnish, and hope you do too.

Want a way to make your gift look extra special?  Try a spoon….a demi-tasse spoon to be exact!  Grab your rubber stamps or your trusty Sharpie, and you’re good to go.

We wrapped our white rectangle box in a piece of felt, some red and white twine and one or our demi-tasse spoons.  Isn’t it fab?  Honestly, when it looks this good, does it really matter what’s inside…we didn’t think so!

Looking for a quick and easy gift to bring to your next holiday party (Thanksgiving!).  Here’s a thought, what about chocolate spoons?  They are quick and easy to make.  All you need to do is melt some chocolate and then dip some of our wooden spoons.  Next lay them out to cool on some wax paper or pop them in the fridge.

We added a little something extra with the peppermint sprinkles.  To make the spoons a bit more festive, we stamped the handles with some fun holiday sayings.  You could also personalize them with names, like for your child’s teacher.  Next, put them inside our small cello bag and tie them up with some twine.  So easy!

Do you have a crowd coming over this weekend?  Stop in the freezer section of your local grocery store and pick up some meatballs.  They are perfect for snacking on and everybody loves them.

Not to mention, those mini meatballs fit perfectly into our Hip 2B Square bowls.  We put some sweet and sour sauce into our plastic squeeze bottle, but you can choose whatever you like best.  Yummy!

You can’t deny it, Thanksgiving is right around the corner, so it’s time to start thinking about how you will celebrate.  It is the perfect holiday to remember what we are thankful for, and to remember the little things that make us smile everyday.

That had us thinking, why not write it down?  Here’s an idea…put out one of our plastic milk bottles for each family coming to your holiday.  Make sure you label their bottle with one of our round labels.  Then put out a stack of paper strips and some pens.  Each family member can write down what they’re thankful for and put it inside their respective bottle.  Now, you can choose to send each family home with thankful thoughts, or you can save them until next year and read them then.  Just write the year down on the bottle and you’ve got yourself a mini time capsule.

We say “treat!”.  If you are having a Halloween party, cupcakes are an easy treat to serve.  Garnish has a couple ways to package up those cupcakes…

Of course, there are our fab cello cupcake bags…but what about using our cardboard clamshell or even the small no soup for you container?  They work awesome too!  Use some fun decorations (we found these great squishy eyeballs at Target) and you’ll have everyone wanting more.

Halloween is coming and that means we can buy candy corn!  We love candy corn here at Garnish, and we’re seeing lots of candy corn all over the internet.  We found this recipe for candy corn cheesecake mousse via The TomKat Studio.

You could use our demi-tasse wooden spoon to serve up these yummy treats.  Be sure to check out Glory’s recipe for her candy corn cheesecake mousse here.

Stay tuned for more Halloween posts to come!

Just because you know they had a tough week, or had the kids at a late hockey practice last night, or because you want to show you’re thinking about them….

Leave them a little something on their desk at work, or hand it to them in the drop off lane at school.  We just packaged up some fruit salad in our small no soup for you container, added in some lemonade in our new plastic milk bottle and with a yummy muffin, this was ready to go in our cardboard berry basket.  So easy…..and a great way to let someone know they deserve a break today!
