Who doesn’t love cheesecake…especially mini cheesecakes! (we confess…we bought these)  And how cute do they look the Garnish way?

Our new 6oz disposable serving bowl is the perfect size.  We added some twine and jazzed up our wooden fork.  Now who wouldn’t want one of these…or two…they’re small, right? ;-)

It doesn’t have to be a special occasion for you to feel special.  This is a perfect example.  We normally use our coffee machine for a quickie espresso in the morning.  Well today, we thought we deserved a full on latte…and a cookie!

Our ripple cups definitely make this coffee break feel like an occasion (not to mention, it was really easy to steam some milk, so we will definitely be doing this again!).  And just to be sure we don’t overindulge too much, we decided to pack up some of those peanut butter cookies in one of our  cello bags to give to a friend.  We like to think of it as paying it forward!  It really is easy to celebrate the everyday…the Garnish way!

Garnish + Enjoy

p.s. even though we have about 50 fancy cookbooks, you can’t beat Joy Of Cooking for the basics.  Find the peanut butter cookie recipe here.  We tried using Truvia sweetener for baking in place of the white sugar, and it worked out great!

Sometimes it’s hard to think of a Valentine that is perfect for everyone is your child’s class.  Goodness knows they will get tons of candy, so eliminate the sugar rush with something cute and practical.

How about these fun tissues.  Great for girls or boys, and even teacher too!  We have used our large glassine bag to package the tissues up extra special.  Add some fun tape and twine, or how about a handwritten note from your child.  Garnish is your blank canvas to make Valentine’s Day s-weeeet!

Valentine’s Day falls on a Thursday…a school day and a work day.  Why not send your loves out the door with some heart!

We found the cutest paper hearts at Target.  They were inexpensive and you get a ton in the package.  If you can’t find something similar, just grab the construction paper or even some paper doilies, and you are good to go.  We cut up our paper hearts and glued them onto one of our paper cups, adding the perfect polka dot straw to match of course!  Or, why not package up lunch in our white box, and seal it with a pretty heart.  We call it, love to go!

It is a dreary, snowy day here in New England….the perfect day to talk soup!  Did you know that January is National Soup Month? We have just what you need at Garnish to make your soups extra special! Here are a few ideas…

Soup is a great dish to serve at your next get together.  You can make (ok…buy) something simple like this tomato bisque, or you can make your grandmother’s famous chicken noodle soup or  secret recipe chili.  You can serve soup as an hors d’oeuvre or part of the main meal.  Here is an example of three Garnish containers that would be perfect for any occasion.  You could use our 4oz ripple cup or geometric dish for small servings, and our no soup for you bowl is perfect for a hearty portion.

We chose to serve this tomato soup with some grilled cheese croutons.  Awesome, right!?  Wish we could take credit, but we found this idea while browsing Pinterest.  And grilled cheese is the perfect accompaniment to tomato soup!

You can also send your guests home with your favorite soups packaged up in our large bio pack.  This soup for two includes two of our no soup for you containers, labelled with our kraft round labels.  We also included some crackers in our glassine bag and two wooden spoons.  All your guests have to do is heat the soup up when they get home and they have a tasty treat.

Don’t forget, January 26th is Soup Swap Day.  Make sure to stock up on our no soup for you containers or contessa containers to package up your special recipes.

On the theme of gifted meals this week…we have another idea for you.  A super easy dessert is pound cake with berries and whipped cream.  We used blueberries, because they are in season right now, but stone fruits like peaches and plums are also in season right now as well.  This treat is just the thing to bring to your next dinner party or weekend away.

We packaged up the pound cake in our quart size rectangle berry box.  Here’s the best part…a Sara Lee (the best!) pound cake fits perfectly into the basket!  We just took it out of the packaging and wrapped it up in some parchment paper tied with twine.  Now it’s up to you whether you want to confess to store bought or homemade…we promise, we won’t tell!

In our small no soup for you containers we packaged up some blueberries and whipped cream.  Just like we said in our last post, grab a carton of whipping cream,  use your hand mixer to whip it up and you’re done.  If you want to go a little bit fancier, you can choose to bring some crème fraîche or mascarpone cheese.  Both of these things are pretty easy to find at a Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s, and even some supermarkets carry them now.

What is your favorite thing to bring for a weekend away? Is there a speciality in your neck of the woods?  We’ve heard a rumor that at the Jersey shore it’s all about the sticky buns…

Sometimes going simple is best.  We were digging through our stamp stash and found this “thank you” stamp we’ve had for years (we purchased this at Paper Source.  They no longer stock this one on their website, but they do have similar ones).

This simple stamp on our kraft rectangle box, makes such a chic statement for a party favor.  We added some of our brown and white twine to finish it off.  There are so many fun stamps available, and they are the perfect way to personalize any of our Garnish products.

Why does it always seem so much harder to find a gift for Dad than it does for Mom?  With Father’s Day on June 17th, we’ve been racking our brain on what to give…goodness knows he doesn’t need another screwdriver or wrench set!  Sometimes the best gift is to just let Dad know you’re thinking about him…and that he deserves a medal!

So, put Dad’s favorite drink in one of our kraft ripple cups, and print of a medal using our round labels.  Attach it to the cup using our twine.  Now Dad can show of his prize while he’s at the baseball game, lacrosse game or just mowing the lawn!

When you’re going through a hard time, whether it’s a break up or a bad day at work, sometimes you just need a little chocolate!

If you know someone who needs a smile back on their face, send them an emergency care package.  There is nothing better than something sweet and a cheesy playlist (you know the ones…they usually involve a little Wilson Phillips “Hold On”).  We found these fun chocolate bars at our local card shop, but frankly, if you’re having a bad day, any chocolate will do.  We used our clear labels for our “prescription” on the outside of our metal CD containers.  Add a some twine and your friend will have a little joy in their heart in no time!

So, if you were to make a cheesy playlist, what would you be listening to.  Don’t worry, we won’t tell anyone :)

The end of the school year is approaching very quickly.  In fact, in some parts of the country, your children may already be on summer vacation.  Well, if you are in need of a teacher’s gift, we have an idea for you.  What about some jam and scones?!

If you are really ambitious, you can and your children can make some homemade jam.  Refrigerator jam is quick and easy to make yourself.  You can pick up some yummy scones at your local bakery or supermarket (or make those yourself too!).  And if you want to add a little something extra, what about a gift card to a coffee shop.  We used our small no soup for you container for the jam, our french fry scoop and a cello bag for the scones and we put it all inside one of our berry baskets.

This is also a great favor for a bridal shower, or a BBQ with friends.
