We're Going on a Picnic
Never let them see you sweat, in the kitchen that is. Don't be trapped indoors. Get out there and enjoy your company! Guests young and old(er) will be blown away by your creativity and thrilled that they actually get to spend time with you. Hosting a picnic party doesn't mean you have to pack everything up to go the park (althought that would be fun). Make your life a little easier and have your picnic party right in your own backyard. By preparing everything ahead, this will be one of the easiest and unique parties you've ever had.
- The large gable box becomes the lunch (or dinner or breakfast) box
- Add a little garnish by dressing it up to suit your style or theme (although they are beautiful on their own)
- For the grown up dinner box, use the large glassine bag to hold a yummy sandwich and the round hinged container and the small soup bowl for the salads and to finish it off, a dessert in the kraft rectangle box.
- For the kiddie dinner box, use the mini kraft loaf mold for a sandwich cut into quarters and enclose in the medium cellophane bag tied with the red and white twine. Use the paper cone cups to hold some veggie slices and the black oval cup for the dip. The white paper cup with lid holds the drink and once again the dessert in the kraft rectangle box.
- Include a little toy such as bubbles, sidewalk chalk or some other small toy for the kids to enjoy once the food is gone (happy and occupied kids equals happy and relaxed parents!).
Take advantage of those lazy days of summer and enjoy every moment. Life's too short to be stuck in the kitchen!
